LP5 - Dictionaries

Define entries and values for LogicPRINT internal dictionaries.

You can add/modify dictionaries.

Once a new SKU field of the DICTIONARY type was created, the new dictionary is created and this SKU field name becomes the dictionary Name. To use this dictionary you need to define its Entries and Values and assign them to this dictionary. When entering values into the dictionary SKU field for any SKU you will be able to use only predefined values from a drop down list.

Adding new dictionary – press green +Add dictionary button.

a.      Dictionary Name: Enter a dictionary name. Both Key and Value will be associated with this dictionary.

b.      Key: The short name for a dictionary value. Each Key need to be unique, short and informative to you.

c.      Value: This value is assigned to the Key. This is a text field with no restriction. It will be used in all LogicPRINT actions by Roslyn formulas, see Labels section for details. Typical examples of values: a predefined text to be printed on a label [e.g. Allergens], a file name identifying icons [e.g. individual product package type], a number.

If necessary press +Add entry button to add more Values.

Important Notes:

  • Key and Dictionary Name cannot be modified once a field is created.

  • Created Key can be deleted.

  • Key with associated Value can be associated with a different dictionary.

  • You can search for dictionary by Key Name.

When all n Key and Values will be created and associated with one SKU Field of a DICTIONARY type, the following structure will be created under this SKU Field:

●       Dictionary Name = SKU Field name (for example, “Dictionary 1”):

○       Key 1 – Value 1

○       Key 2 – Value 2

○       Key n – Value n
