Structure of a Plant

The structure of the factory should be as follows:

  1. Machines are assigned to the Lines. A single Machine can be assigned only to one Line. (eg. If you have two Lines you should create two Fillers and add each to every Line)

  2. Lines are assigned to the Areas.

  3. Areas are assigned to the Plant. You shouldn't add an Area inside an Area.

 

       Every Plant structure consists of four elements. The units that create a Plant are:

  1. Plant - Highest in the structure, every Plant needs to start with it, when we create it we . While creating it you need to provide few basic informations like Name/ ShortnameCode (short name) / Coordinates (latitude and longitude).

    Too add it a Plant open the ConfigHub by clicking on the PackOS logo in the top-left corner of your screen and go into to Plants on the left menu.

a. Press the plus icon “+” next to

Plants , title. A popup window will appear , and you will need to define as mentioned:

·       Name of the fabric

·       Code (shortnameshort name)

·       Co-ordinates Coordinates of new factory (latitude and longitude)

b. After setting a new Plant, you will need to wait until we configure elements like Database, Kubernetespods and few other informations. Once we do it we will let you know

2. Area - Second in structure you can imagine it as hall on the premises of the factory in wich the lines/machines are storedit is a structure that represents an accurate representation of your production lines and machinery in the factory. You need to add at least one Area before adding Lines and Machines that will be next assigned to the Area in the structure.

3. Line - Production line, assembly of this is a single line in the factory, which should include all its machines. You can add a production line by clicking on the plus icon “+” near one of the areas. The form will ask Now you have to fill in:

·       Name: The the main name of the line visible on the dashboard and in selectors

·       Code: Use use for quick reference in paths (for example, ILA/OBS/L3).

·       Location: Place place where the element is located. You can click it and select a different area/line.

·       Element Type: Area, Line, or Machine depending on what you want to add

4. Machine - Lowest lowest in the structure, they create a line. We set one of them as baseline device for a Line. You add it by clicking on the plus icon located next to any of the lines to add machines.

Convention of structure is that inside area there are lines and inside lines there are machines. It shouldn’t be altered, for example we shouldn’t create area inside another area.
